Filament viscose is viscose spun from long continuous filaments rather than short staple fibres. The practical difference is a smoother surface, a cleaner lustre and a more fluid drape than ordinary viscose, with less of the fuzziness that short fibres produce. A sharara is a pair of wide, heavily flared trousers, fitted through the hip and thigh and then opening dramatically from the knee down, so that when you stand still the two legs read almost as a single full skirt. It originated in the Mughal courts and remains one of the most formal silhouettes in Pakistani dress, worn most often at weddings and the celebrations around them — mehndi, sangeet and dholki functions in particular. It is not the same as a lehenga, which is a true skirt with no division between the legs, nor a gharara, which is fitted to the knee and then gathered sharply into a flare at a visible seam.
